Data Association in Communication-Constrained Environments Based on Discrete Fréchet Distance
Abstract— The performance of traditional methods in data association degrades significantly in
communication-constrained environments. This paper presents a data association algorithm based on discrete
Fréchet distance that establishes metrics on the shape of a target track. It is shown to have good resolving
power of distinguishing objects with less data required, which is then verified by simulation results.
