Multi-Channel and Multi-Timeslot Convergecast for Barrier Coverage in Wireless Sensor Networks
Abstract— We propose algorithms performing multi-channel and multi-timeslot convergecast for
barrier coverage in wireless sensor networks (WSNs). We also simulate the proposed algorithms
and a related algorithm on the basis of the IEEE 802.15.4 protocol with OPNET and MATLAB for
the sake of performance comparisons. By the simulation results, the proposed algorithms
significantly outperform the related algorithm in terms of the notification success rate and the
notification delay.
